  I was a bit taken aback when he asked me as its been at least 10-15 odd years since I've been asked, so when I asked "I.D.? really, why's that?" "he said 'its not worth the risk of the fine"

  still quite bemused that I could, by any stretch of the imagination be mistaken for a 17 year old teenager I said "I've never been asked before when I've come in here" with nothing more than genuine surprise.

  I'm 40 years old and was asked for I.D. by a condescending aggressive older man working there on Australia day.
